Brushing at least twice a day can keep your pearly whites healthy and stronger. This habit, however, does not always guarantee a cleaner mouth, especially if you are using the wrong toothbrush. Note that not all toothbrushes are the same, as some can do more harm than good, compromising your oral health.

Manual or Electric

Size of the Brush

If you have a smaller mouth, be sure to choose a brush that feels the most comfortable for you. Toothbrushes are available in different sizes of head and handles. Note that the ideal toothbrush is the one the fits the mouth comfortably, allowing you to reach all areas of the teeth. You should also pick the right size of toothbrush for babies and younger children.

Keep these things mind when buying a new toothbrush. Be sure not to brush hard and avoid rushing when cleaning your mouth. It should be at least twice a day for two minutes each time. Don’t forget to replace them every three to four months or when the bristles are worn out.
